Yes people we are going to torture ourselves on the most celebrated day of the year because we want to make all our wonderful customers happy. We really have nothing better to do and would rather socialize and sell some chicken and donuts. Seriously! Our hours will be the same as usual. Donuts open 24 hours, chicken side opening at 10:30am-7:00pm. We really hope to see you there and join us in the un-festive festivities. We will have regular music playing, no christmas lights, no christmas tree, no carolers caroling, no santa ho ho ho’s, and especially nothing that relates to that awful color Christmas red. We are sorry but we really didn’t have the time to decorate and be festive this year. Maybe next year? We were so busy remodeling and making changes to accomodate our customers that there seemed to be no time to be merry and cherry. On Christmas day though we will do our best to provide you with good food and a nice warm spot to enjoy it. Please come on by ….we have delicious burgers, waffles, fried chicken, & donuts just waiting for your consumption. You will regret it if you plan on having some sort of leftover or frozen dinner because you couldn’t find anything else to eat. Just sayin’.
We’re now serving up our famous fried chicken with waffles…no joke! To most, this is a strange new combination that doesn’t appeal at first. It’s not until you have your first bite you blame yourself for ever trying. It’s the most sinfully sweet, slighty spicy, and slightly salty combination that leaves you wanting more and more, day after day, hour after hour, year after year. all summer and all winter long. It’s seriously an amazing way to start your day since you could practically have this for breakfast, lunch or dinner! It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Seriously. If I were you I’d stay far away from our place. Our waffles are so ridiculously addicting its just plain ridiculous.We’ve worked hard to master a delicious buttermilk waffle batter that tastes so good it reminds you of home every time you take a bite. You just gotta make sure it’s buttered properly and drowned in syrup or it won’t be right. You get what I’m sayin’? If you need help we could easily show you how this is done. It’s clearly not rocket science but it does take time to perfect the art of waffle-izing your waffle. So please come on by and try our chicken and waffle combination. It is truly something special. Oh yeah and please note to oneself to bring extra napkins just in case. There are too many addicts out there and they may have already annihilated every single napkin we have. Okay…. we’re kidding on that one but seriously be prepared to have some sticky fingers.

All sorts of things are happening right now at Happy Donuts and we’re hoping you will enjoy our changes. This new website of ours has our new food items updated for its debut (hopefully) on December 15, 2010 and we sure hope you’ll visit us then. In the last week we’ve been through a major floor renovation and hopefully we can have it done by the weekend. It’s looking good but there have been complications we didn’t account for so it’s taking us longer than we expected to finish. We are still open during remodeling but hopefully the noise isn’t bothering you guys too much. We are trying our best to complete our job as fast as possible. See you soon!
